Freesat Finally Launches
May 7, 2008
The new free digital satellite TV viewing platform, Freesat, launched yesterday. This has been long awaited but it’s a shame that the nominated retailers don’t yet display any stock of Freesat boxes to buy! Is there the old syndrome of create demand but no supply? Let’s wait and see.

Freesat is a combined venture by the BBC and ITV which will fill the gap left by Freeview by reaching around 98% of households: giving you more than 80 free digital tv channels, radio stations and HDTV (high definition TV) from the BBC and ITV.
